New Design Studio™ Textile Partnership

Design Studio

Hunter Douglas is always on the lookout for what’s new, whether it’s innovation in the way a treatment diffuses light or operates or whether it’s new textiles to delight in. At Blinds & Designs serving Marin County, we love to introduce our customers to these new aspects of Hunter Douglas products. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce a new textile designer who has contributed to the Hunter Douglas Design Studio.

Meet Marcie Bronkar

Well-known for her textile and product designs, Marcie Bronkar lives and works in New York City and Los Angeles. She brings her passion for color to her work, which is influenced by historical period artwork and objects. Marcie likes to add contemporary twists in nuanced ways to produce stylized patterns that blend with the modern world. She has been an interior designer for over two decades, creating classic and comfortable living spaces that honor the integrity of historical design.

About the Design Studio™

Hunter Douglas launched the Design Studio in 2019 to offer a new way to customize drapery, side panels, and Roman and roller shades. Consumers have nearly endless options and can coordinate with existing Hunter Douglas products to very easily achieve one-of-a-kind window looks. Customers can select from a wide range of textiles, including those found in the acclaimed Featured Artist series. Marcie has designed seven different textiles exclusively for Hunter Douglas. She noted, “My signature style is categorized by roots in traditional elements interpreted for modern day living.” All of Marcie’s fabrics are available as drapery, side panels, roller and Roman shades, accessories, and Fabrics by the Yard. The line includes vintage batik-inspired fabrics, fabrics inspired by Mexican pottery, a modern version of Jacobean period design, paisley-inspired fabric, embroidered silk, and 17th-century-influenced design. These fabrics are available to order now, so be sure to speak with a representative to see them in person and to determine how best to add them to your home’s design.
