October makes people think about pumpkin spice, ghosts, ghouls, and trick-or-treating. Reducing Risk for Children and Pets
Corded window treatments are one of the top five hidden dangers to children in a home, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. A strangling hazard to curious toddlers and infants, dangling cords can cause severe damage or even kill a child in a matter of seconds. Check your current window treatments. If they are corded, take some time to move any furniture, including beds and cribs, as well as toys away from windows. Also, cut the cords short or tie them up to keep them out of your child’s reach.
