About the Design Studio™
Hunter Douglas created the Design Studio to let customers have a new way to tailor their windows to their individual tastes. The side panels, drapery, and Roman and roller shades available through the Design Studio come in a variety of options and can coordinate with existing or new window treatments to achieve truly unique window looks. The selection of textiles includes the Featured Artist series, which highlights Seema Krish’s patterns, as well as those of Rebecca Atwood and Marcie Bronkar.
About Seema Krish’s Designs
Seema is inspired by her Bangladeshi roots to design textiles that honor the tradition of using handmade, heirloom techniques while offering modern appeal. The result is extraordinarily colored fabrics that honor India’s heritage of block printing, hand embroidery, and weaving. Her luxurious textiles display vivid colors, dimensional design, and bold style. “The Hunter Douglas collection as a whole is a mix of place, of nature and techniques. I believe textiles should connect us with places and help to transport us to the beautiful world beyond the walls of our homes,” noted Seema. She has created seven designs exclusive to Hunter Douglas, including two signature embroideries. The options include Woodlands, Floret, Intersection, Straits, Waves, Reflections, and Tangle, which will add a sense of climbing vines next to your window.
