Full-Time, Part-Time, or Independent Contractor – Window Covering Installer
Blinds & Designs is seeking an experienced and dependable Window Covering Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional window covering installation experience and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
This position may be offered as an employee role or an independent contractor opportunity, depending on experience, availability, and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Install blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, and other window covering products
- Accurately measure and prepare installation areas
- Troubleshoot installation and product-related issues
- Program and test motorized window covering systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate professionally with customers, designers, contractors, and team members
- Safely transport and handle products, tools, ladders, and installation equipment
- Complete installation documentation and report any product damage or job-site concerns
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum of one year of window covering installation experience
- Motorized shade installation and programming experience is a plus
- Familiarity with brands such as Hunter Douglas, Mecho, Somfy, or similar manufacturers is preferred
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use standard installation tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Professional appearance and customer-service skills
- Ability to lift and carry window coverings, ladders, and equipment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
