Meet Solera
Solera can work with many design styles; however, the product is best known for being contemporary. While these beauties look like a traditional Roman shade, they’re also enhanced with sculptural-looking cellular construction. These cell pockets add to a room’s energy efficiency because they trap air, keeping the outside air out and the inside air in. The cells also provide sound absorption, improving a space’s acoustics and mitigating extraneous outdoor sounds. You can choose from over ten fabric collections with both woven and non-woven options as well as light-filtering and room-darkening opacities. You can find a variety of colors, textures, and patterns to enhance your room. Solera shades work well with standard windows as well as bay windows, patio or sliding glass doors, and French doors. Because they’re cordless, they’re particularly great for homes with small children or pets.
Lift Systems
Hunter Douglas offers a variety of lift systems, from standard manual operations to motorized systems. They all offer pet and child safety, and some offer more. UltraGlide® is a retractable cord system that lets you raise and lower your shades with no ugly, dangling external cords. LiteRise® is a cordless system that lets you gently raise and lower your shades with slight pressure from your hand. PowerView® motorization is a wireless operating system that can be used with a PowerView® Pebble® remote or with your mobile device or tablet, even if you’re not at home.
